
Big tobacco is
attempting to block Uganda’s anti-malaria efforts of spraying a weak DDT solution. Their concern is the spray may damage tobacco crops. According to
Mark Levenstein at FP Passport, malaria kills more than 1 million people each year and tobacco products kill an estimated 5 million annually.
Wouldn’t it be better to get rid of the mosquitoes
and the cigarettes?
