Despite the news blackout by the Chinese government, stories and video are managing to make their way out of Tibet following the crackdown on demonstrators. March 10th (the date of the Tibetan uprising against the Chinese 1959) has traditionally been a day of protest. This year the demonstrations have become particularly violent as Tibetans lash out at anything Chinese. The Chinese continue to attempt to control the press coverage of the events.
